Course overview

Prepare for a rewarding career in Education and Early Years development.

Acquire a deep understanding of child development, educational support techniques, and safeguarding principles to assist teaching professionals in providing high-quality learning experiences. Foster an inclusive and supportive environment that values diversity and addresses special educational needs. Develop strong communication skills to engage with families, caregivers, and external agencies in nurturing children's educational growth and well-being.

Do you want to work with children and young people of all ages?  Our Level 3 T-Level in Education & Early Years will give you the foundation you need to set you on the path towards your ideal career. Focusing on working with children aged 0-19, the T-Level qualification combines learning in the classroom with gaining vital ‘on-the-job’ experience.

In year one, you will gain core knowledge of subjects such as supporting education, health and well-being, safeguarding and Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND), as well as developing a range of technical and practical skills that employers are looking for.

The Assisting Teaching pathway is about supporting teachers in classrooms, typically with children aged 5 to 18. Students will learn how to assist with lesson preparation, work with small groups, and help manage classroom behaviour. This pathway leads to roles like teaching assistant or learning support assistant and provides a stepping stone to becoming a fully qualified teacher.

You'll need a minimum of five GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including maths and English Language and in subjects that are relevant to the course you'd like to study.

You will be assessed through written and practical examinations, employer projects, group work, presentations and analysis. You will also be observed and assessed in the workplace
