Course overview
This course is ideal for those wishing to begin a career in hairdressing. It is offered on a part-time basis subject to age, experience and motivation, and includes training in the following: working in the hair industry, health & safety, shampooing and conditioning, styling hair and cutting or colouring.What else do I need to know?
The course runs for 34 weeks, six hours per week on a Monday & Tuesday evening. You gain a City & Guilds VRQ Level 2 Certificate in Hair Techniques qualification. Please note that courses run subject to minimum viable class sizes. All course and fee information is correct to the best of our knowledge at the time of publication and may be subject to change. You will be required to buy a hairdressing kit. There may be additional costs for books, materials or other expenses.What are the entry requirements?
To go onto the Level 2 Hair Techniques, applicants will need to have a Level 1 in hairdressing, demonstrate a keen interest and enjoy working as part of a team. This course is open to any individual wishing to progress their career in hairdressing.
How is it assessed?
You are continually assessed throughout the course working on clients and there will be some online tests to cover the theory aspects of the course.
