Course overview

During the course you will build on your previous knowledge. Opportunities will be given for you to speak, listen, read and write to ensure you are fully equipped for your trips abroad. You will increase your vocabulary to include everyday situations and gain a greater understanding of the Spanish culture.
The course is planned to support you through a wide variety of situations that you may encounter as a visitor to Spain. Classroom activities will support you with communicating and presenting information to others in Spanish, including the use of fun interactive games, role play and writing tasks. You will also develop your skills to obtain information from others and feel more confident with dealing with situations which include travel, business, shopping and food and drink.

What else do I need to know?

Please note there may be additional costs for books, materials or other expenses.

What are the entry requirements?

Suitable if you have completed an improver's course or 60 to 80 hours of Spanish study in the past and are confident about resuming study.

How is it assessed?

You will be taught in a friendly and supportive environment with ongoing feedback from your tutor. There are no formal assessments, just a tracking of your progress.

What financial support is on offer?

Courses with a duration over 12 weeks and costing in excess of £150 (including exam fees) can be paid for in instalments over the duration of the course or one year (whichever is shorter). While the College can not guarantee this arrangement in every case, we will do our best to accommodate requests to pay by instalments. In order to pay by instalments you must come into the college, we cannot take payment online.

What can I do next?

You could choose to use your language skills to find employment that requires multi-lingual employees, both in the UK and overseas.
