The course starts with a quick revision of the grammar and language required to reach a sufficient
degree of competence to enable students to cope with the average level of this quite mixed
group. All skills are covered - speaking, listening, reading, writing as well as grammar, but the
main aim is to build up enough confidence to allow a reasonable level of communication in the
foreign language. The lessons are taught in a friendly and supportive environment with ongoing
feedback from the tutor and without exams or formal assessments.
What else do I need to know?
Please note there may be additional costs for books, materials or other expenses.
This course is not suitable for beginners or post-beginners, but the level of Italian used can range
from lower to higher intermediate (and even lower advanced).
How is it assessed?
You will be taught in a friendly and supportive environment with ongoing feedback from your tutor. There are no end of course exams, just a tracking of your progress.
What financial support is on offer?
Courses with a duration over 12 weeks and costing in excess of £150 (including exam fees) can be paid for in instalments over the duration of the course or one year (whichever is shorter). While the College can not guarantee this arrangement in every case, we will do our best to accommodate requests to pay by instalments. In order to pay by instalments you must come into the college, we cannot take payment online.
What can I do next?
You could choose to use your language skills to find employment that requires multi-lingual employees, both in the UK and overseas.
