Course overview

The purpose of this qualification is to provide learners with knowledge of the scale and context of suicide within the United Kingdom, its associated stigma, the main risk factors and to increase their understanding that suicide is preventable.

What else do I need to know?

This course is a blended learning course and can be completed in the learners own time. There is no specific start date. This course will require the learner to commit to self study hours in order to complete the assessments.

What are the entry requirements?

Be working or volunteering in a health and social care environment or other relevant working environment; have a basic level of English in order to complete the written assessments.

How is it assessed?

The assessment consists of one component: a portfolio of evidence.

Assessments must be completed in the agreed timescale and submitted to the assessor who will then provide feedback, advice and guidance, and, additional support where needed.
