Course overview

This qualification aims to
• raise awareness of the issues surrounding mental health difficulties
• dispel some of the myths and misconceptions frequently linked to mental health issues
• develop learners’ knowledge of the rights of those with mental health issues

What else do I need to know?

This course is an online/blended learning course and can be completed in the learners own time. There is no specific start date. This course will require the learner to commit to self study hours in order to complete the assessments.

What are the entry requirements?

There are no specific entry requirements for this qualification however, learners should have a basic level of English in order to complete the written assessments.

How is it assessed?

To achieve the Level 1 Award in Mental Health Awareness, learners must successfully demonstrate their achievement of all learning outcomes and assessment criteria detailed in the qualification specification.
Assessments must be completed in the agreed timescale and submitted to the assessor who will then provide feedback, advice and guidance, and, additional support where needed.
