If so, our Access to HE course for Health Professionals is the perfect way to gain entry into university to progress into courses such as nursing, midwifery, paramedics, mental health, physiotherapy…..as well as many more. This course is designed to give you the stepping stone that you need in order be able to progress into an excellent NHS professional. This is a highly reputable course with an outstanding success rate and will provide you with the relevant accredited diploma which is accepted at university.Following your application you will be invited to a two part taster session where you will begin to prepare for life as an Access student and to learn more about possible careers and Access course can lead to. Here you will meet the team, find out more about the course and begin to develop the basic skills needed to succeed as Access student.
A full induction to the programme will also be provided for two weeks commencing 12th September 2022
What else do I need to know?
A student loan may be applied for in order to cover the full cost of the course. On successful completion of the Access to HE Diploma and successful completion of a degree level course at university, this initial student loan will be wiped out! Therefore you are having the course for FREE! Please note there may be additional costs for books, materials or other expenses.What are the entry requirements?
You are required to have a GCSE in either maths or English language at a minimum grade 4/c or above, or level 2 functional skills. During the interview process, you will receive an in-depth one to one interview where you will discuss any other qualifications and or industry experience, along with advice and guidance as to the programme best suited for you. It is essential that prepare for your interview by researching the entry requirements for your future degree course as this varies from course to course.
If you need to study a GCSE alongside the Access course then a further interview with the GCSE English and maths team will be arranged.

How is it assessed?
Our expert and enthusiastic team can chat to you to see what type of role you would like to progress into and are on hand to prepare, guide, and support you to be in your chosen field. There are no formal examinations within this course as all your coursework will be assessed through essays, reports, case studies, as well as practical elements. You will be given plenty of advice to help you develop your academic skills so that you will be fully prepared to take on a university degree.

• Psychology - Obedience and conformity, social relationships, mental health as well as others
• Health Studies - Communication, roles and responsibilities, safeguarding as well as others

What financial support is on offer?
Do not be put off by the cost of the course, as an Advanced Learning Loan is open to anyone aged over 19 studying a Level 3 or above qualification, is not means tested or subject to credit checks and you only start to pay it back when you are earning over £25,000 per year.
If you successfully complete your Access to HE course, progress onto and complete a degree level programme, you do not have to pay back your Advanced Learning Loan.

What can I do next?
Students who successfully complete the Access to HE Diploma go onto higher education level study in a wide range of subjects including Adult, Child, Learning Disability and Mental health nursing, Physiotherapy, Occupational therapy and other health professions
