At NSCG, you can choose a vocational course in a wide-range of subjects, all designed to help you to progress onto university and kick-start your dream career!
If you choose to study a BTEC at NSCG, you’ll benefit from supportive teaching and top-class facilities at an Ofsted ‘OUTSTANDING’ college.
What is a vocational course?
Vocational courses, also known as BTECs, are designed to help you learn in a practical way about a specific job area. The focus is on coursework, with a balance of hands-on practical experience and some external assessments - a great choice if you know the kind of area you want to work in. And they are also widely-recognised qualifications to get you into university, apprenticeships or employment. Most students join us on a Level 3 BTEC programme (which on completion is equivalent to achieving 3 A Levels), but depending on your GCSE results, you we also offer BTEC Level 2 programmes.
What qualifications do I need?
Most students join us on a Level 3 BTEC programme (which on completion is equivalent to achieving 3 A Levels), but depending on your GCSE results, you we also offer BTEC Level 2 programmes.
If you want to join us on a Level 3 BTEC programme, you'll need a minimum of four or more high grades at GCSE in subjects that are relevant to the course you’d like to study, including maths and/or English Language.
Our students love being a part of NSCG and together we’re always sharing their college experiences and achievements for everyone to see, and more importantly, for you to see. Their world. Their freedom. Their joy. Their life. Their excitement. Make it yours. #MyNSCG
