Stafford, part of Newcastle and Stafford Colleges Group, is set to hold its next Virtual Open Event on Saturday 6 February, between 10.00am and 12noon.
The Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ college will be ‘virtually’ opening its doors once again to prospective students and their families in order to give them a taste of what it’s like to study at one of the country’s top performing colleges.
NSCG are currently unable to invite visitors onto campus due to the current COVID-19 lockdown restrictions, but just like the usual Open Event, visitors to the online event will be able to explore the top-class facilities on offer, live chat with teaching staff, hear from NSCG’s Principal, get an overview of the outstanding student support available, and apply for a course. Visitors will also have the chance to join our live Q&A with current students, to find out what life is really like at Newcastle College.
As part of the Virtual Open Event, learners will be able to view the College’s 360° virtual tour of the key learning and social spaces, giving everyone a real feel for the campus.
Karen Dobson, Principal and Chief Executive at NSCG, said: “The main aim of our Virtual Open Event is to provide school leavers with the full range of education options available at NSCG, so that they can make an informed choice about their future studies. Our team will be available throughout the event to answer any questions about course options, college life and what support is on offer to students during their time with us. Our Virtual Open Events are just one of the many steps we’re taking to ensure that we’re on hand to offer advice and guidance, so that learners looking to join us in September 2021 feel confident in choosing the right course, at the right level.”
Karen continues: “At NSCG, we have a long-established reputation for delivering excellent education and training and are one of the top colleges in the country, rated Outstanding in all areas by Ofsted. We are really excited to be showcasing our courses and ‘virtually’ showing you life at NSCG.”
NSCG is the first further education provider in England to achieve the top grades in every area of Ofsted’s reformed Education Inspection Framework (EIF). Ofsted’s inspection report, published in November 2019, praises all areas of the College’s provision and acknowledges NSCG’s ‘positive, stimulating and safe learning environment’, ‘highly motivated staff’, and ‘learners’ exemplary behaviour and attitudes to learning’.
At NSCG’s Newcastle College campus, learners can study every-type of post-16 qualification possible, including A Levels, vocational qualifications and apprenticeships, which can all be studied in a wide-range of subjects, all designed to prepare you for life in the workplace or university.
To attend the Virtual Open Event, visitors must pre-register online at nscg.ac.uk/scevents ahead of the event taking on Saturday 6 February, 10:00am until 12noon.
Our students love being a part of NSCG and together we’re always sharing their college experiences and achievements for everyone to see, and more importantly, for you to see. Their world. Their freedom. Their joy. Their life. Their excitement. Make it yours. #MyNSCG
