We are always so pleased to hear how well our past students are doing in their careers and how studying here at NSCG has helped them to achieve their success. We caught up with former HNC Business student, Aida Hadi Rubio now working as a European Customer Account Supervisor.

Q: Why did you decide to choose to study the HNC in Business?

I searched for a while in order to find the best possible course that really interested me. The HNC in Business at NCSG was the perfect option as it fitted in around my full time job. It was so easy from the beginning - the staff were friendly, helpful and approachable and they definitely offered what I was looking for in terms of flexibility, and so I was really confident that this was the course for me.

Q: How has studying for your HNC changed your life and career so far?

Studying this course has helped me in so many ways. I am a non-native speaker and I found the course structure really worked for me. The course is based on lots of 1-2-1 presentations and this really has given me the confidence to succeed within my workplace. On top of that, I learned so many things about the company I work for just by completing the course assessments. Through hard work, I was promoted twice during the two-year course. Whilst completing the HNC, I worked as a European Customer Account Advisor (Instructor) and European Customer Account Team Leader. Studying for a qualification like this has helped me to progress quickly within the company.

Q.What have you learnt about yourself?

Studying for the HNC really helped me to realise what I am capable of and has made me a much more confident person. I am so proud of myself for coming this far.

Q.What would you say to other people in your position who are looking to study Higher Education at NSCG?

I would tell anyone working and looking to study, that yes it can be a challenge and a juggling act but the outcome is worth it. As in so many aspects of life I had days when I wanted to give up, but with the support of the teaching staff and support team at NSCG I am glad I persevered. Don't be afraid to ask for help and advice if you need it!
