Newcastle College were delighted to host this yearā€™s FIRSTĀ® LEGOĀ® League regional tournament on Monday 17 January 2022 which saw teams from local schools, including, Alsager High School, Birches Head Academy, JCB Academy and Endon Hall Primary School take part in this yearā€™s ā€˜Transportation of Goods Challengeā€™.

The FIRSTĀ® LEGOĀ® League gives students the opportunity to research, design and make prototype solutions to solve real world issues. Students experience working as an engineer over a period of several months as they prepare for their tournament. The competition is designed to inspire students to pursue STEM-based careers as well as building important life skills and practical, hands on experience that they can use throughout their studies and in the future.

Alsager School, St Joseph's Catholic Primary School, Uttoxeter and ELF_Inspire were crowned this yearā€™s regional tournament Champions and will now go onto represent the region in the the UK and Ireland Final.
