23rd September 2021
I’m delighted to confirm that the NHS will be offering COVID-19 vaccinations to students on site at the Newcastle College campus next week.
Students who have not yet had their vaccination will be able to grab a jab at the NHS pop up clinic that will be in attendance on Tuesday 28 September and Thursday 30 September 2021 between 09:30am – 3:30pm.
The clinic will be located behind the Food Hall, and students are asked to register in the Food Hall at their designated appointment time, which must be booked in advance, using the booking links sent to students’ college email accounts.
Currently, Public Health England are recommending that healthy 16-17 year olds have the first dose of the vaccine only, and those aged over 18 are expected to have both doses.
I want you to be able to come to NSCG and enjoy everything the College has to offer you. Everyone has a part to play in reducing the spread of the COVID-19 virus and I’m pleased to be able to host the NHS vaccination team to provide vaccinations on our college site. I strongly encourage students who have not yet had a vaccination to take up this offer as it will help to keep ourselves, our friends and family and the entire college community safe.
I understand that some people may have questions about the vaccine so I enclose a link to an NHS leaflet that will give you additional information on the vaccination programme, you may also wish to share this with your parents or carers.
Best wishes

Our students love being a part of NSCG and together we’re always sharing their college experiences and achievements for everyone to see, and more importantly, for you to see. Their world. Their freedom. Their joy. Their life. Their excitement. Make it yours. #MyNSCG
