On Friday 21 June, friends and family of talented art, design and media students from Newcastle College, part of Newcastle and Stafford Colleges Group (NSCG), were invited to a private viewing of their end-of-year art exhibition, “SHOW” which opened to the public on Saturday 22 June.

The annual art exhibition, which is hosted across all three floors of the College’s Knutton Lane campus, encompasses all creative subjects from the College’s creative faculty, which includes: film, illustration, 3D design, fine art, games design, graphic design, media, photography and textiles. With highlights in every course area, much of the work will be available to buy.

The exhibition opened to the public on Saturday 22 June from 10am to 12 noon and will remain open on the following days and times:

  • Monday 24 & Tuesday 25 June: 10am - 6pm
  • Wednesday 26 June: 10am - 4pm
  • Thursday 27 June: 10am - 6pm
  • Friday 28 June: 10am - 4pm

The College’s prestigious art exhibition has risen in popularity over the years and expects to welcome hundreds of visitors, keen to view the work of some of the most talented students in and around Staffordshire.

Mike Kelly, Group Head of Creative Arts and Media at NSCG, said: “Our annual Art Exhibition is known locally as a visual extravaganza and is a great way for our talented students to showcase their creativity and celebrate their achievements with the local community. Once again, we’ve been blown away by the standard of work that the students have produced, and I have no doubt that they will all go on to forge exciting careers within the UK’s creative industries. One of the many highlights of the show includes work from our Foundation Diploma group; this is an important one year course aimed at helping A level or BTEC students explore different art and design pathways, before specialising and committing to a degree application.”

The College offers art, design and media courses at various levels, including A Levels and vocational qualifications targeted to schools leavers and university-level courses targeted to adults.
