Newcastle College, part of Newcastle and Stafford Colleges Group (NSCG), is set to hold its next Virtual open Event on Thursday 22 October between 5.30pm and 8pm.

The Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ college will be ‘virtually’ opening their doors to prospective students and their families in order to give them a taste of what it’s like to study at one of the country’s top performing colleges, all from the comfort of their own homes.

Just like the on-site Open Event, visitors to the online event will be able to explore the top-class facilities on offer, live chat with teaching staff, hear from NSCG’s Principal, get an overview of the outstanding student support available, and apply for a course.

Karen Dobson, Principal and Chief Executive at NSCG, said: “The main aim of our Virtual Open Event is to provide school leavers with the full range of education options at NSCG, so that they can make an informed choice about their future studies. Our Virtual Open Events are just one of the many steps we’re taking to ensure that we’re on hand to offer advice and guidance, so that learners looking to join us in September 2021 feel confident in choosing the right course, at the right level.”

Karen continues: “At NSCG, we have a long-established reputation for delivering excellent education and training and are one of the top colleges in the country, rated Outstanding in all areas by Ofsted. We are really excited to be showcasing our courses and ‘virtually’ showing you life at NSCG.”

NSCG is the first further education provider in England to achieve the top grades in every area of Ofsted’s reformed Education Inspection Framework (EIF). Ofsted’s inspection report, published on 14 November 2019, praises all areas of the College’s provision and acknowledges NSCG’s ‘positive, stimulating and safe learning environment, ‘highly motivated staff’, and ‘learners’ exemplary behaviour and attitudes to learning’.

At NSCG’s Newcastle College campus, you can study every-type of post-16 qualification possible, including A Levels, vocational qualifications and apprenticeships, which can all be studied in a wide-range of subjects, all designed to prepare you for life in the workplace or university.

To attend the Virtual Open Event, visitors must pre-register online at nscg.ac.uk/ncevents ahead of the event taking on Thursday 22 October, between 5.30pm and 8pm.
