Last week, Jack Bullock, Curriculum Leader for Higher Education and BTEC Sport represented Newcastle and Stafford Colleges Group at the Association of Colleges HE Research and Scholarship virtual conference.
Jack was invited along to this prestigious conference to present his recent research on student decision-making and their subsequent transitions to College Based Higher Education.
The conference highlighted scholarship and research in the college Higher Education sector and aimed to bring together researchers and teachers within college HE.
Commenting on his research, Jack said; “The focus of student decision-making is obviously pivotal to my role so that I can support students effectively as they move through their BTEC or A Level and onto our Higher Education provision. The project served to ensure I understand the education transition experiences that our students encounter and navigate, and consequently means that colleagues and I remain research-informed in order to aid student retention and success in our outstanding NSCG Higher Education provision.”
