Level 3 Graphic Design student, Amy Stewart was recently nominated as 'Newcomer of the Year' at the One Minute Briefs (OMB) awards ceremony which took place on Friday 4 October at Walrus in Manchester’s Northern Quarter.
Amy was amongst highly esteemed company in her category, which included: a copywriter “ranked 7 in Creativepool’s inspiring and influential global copywriters, a designer with a Masters in Art who currently working at ‘Marks’ design agency in Birmingham, a copywriter based in South Africa, a Digital Marketing Strategist with 25 years experience and a Senior Freelance Writer for Letter-press.
One Minute Briefs is an online design collective which invites students, recent graduates, designers in industry and those aspiring to be in industry, to submit creative to a daily advertising brief issued via Twitter. Since its creation seven years ago, the initiative has since snowballed and their Twitter page now has an active audience of 20K followers. All submissions are retweeted exposing entrants generating millions in potential reach.
In addition to the online competition, OMB serves as a popular, diverse & inclusive social network for the creative industry across the world and hosts a number of workshops, talks & events for its followers, otherwise known as the OMBLES.
