ONE TEAM ONE DREAM
Welcome to the NSCG Academy of Sport. Your journey is up to you, whether you want to compete, coach, volunteer or just keep fit and have fun, the choice is yours. You decide what you want to study and where sport fits in. It’s not about choosing between studies and sport.
Being a part of the NSCG Academy of Sport means you can have it all.
Indulge your sporty side in lots of ways when you study with us. If you enjoy sport you can join one of our sports academies alongside your studies. The NSCG Academy of Sport is made up of six Performance Academies, they’re nationally recognised and give you the opportunity to compete all over the UK, these include:
BADMINTON | BASKETBALL | FOOTBALL | NETBALL | RUGBY | VOLLEYBALL
And, If you’re already competing at county level or above in your chosen sport then you could be part of our Elite Sports Performance Programme. So, whatever your level, you can enjoy our knock-out facilities and see why we’ve earned our reputation as the Midlands’ top sports college.
Students will receive at least five hours of professional coaching each week, with matches played either at college sites or away on Wednesday afternoons. Academy teams will also play in competitive regional and national competitions.
Entry requirements for any Sports Academies are as follows:
- Suitable sport reference (from a club/coach)
- A good level of playing experience
- A student at NSCG on a full-time course
And that's not all, there's loads more stuff to get involved in including sports trips, visits to leading sports universities and a brilliant social life when you become a member of TEAM:NSCG.
