The Centre for Excellence in Maths (CfEM) is a nationwide project commissioned by the DFE and delivered by the ETF. It focuses on the delivery and impact of GCSE resit Maths in the post 16 setting and aims to deliver substantial research and insight into driving improvements across the sector. There are 21 centres in total across England and each have their own focus and research objectives working in collaboration with local network partners from across their local region. More information can be found here.

Here at NSCG we are proud to be partnered by 10 fellow colleges in our drive to improve maths resit provision within our region. These partners are listed below and together we aim to research an area that has become particularly important within the last year: blended learning. We hope to explore the benefits and drawbacks to blended learning and to what extent it can impact both positively and negatively on a student’s learning journey studying maths post 16.
